Welcome to Carr Hill Primary School
Those of you who know our school well will appreciate how special our school is as a community of young learners. Our pupils are magnificent and not a day goes by without us celebrating the individual efforts and collective achievements of our children as they sparkle and shine.
Our main goal is to keep our children safe, provide them with an environment and curriculum which reinforces basic skills and opens up those opportunities enabling all children to make good progress. We enable this by ensuring our staff work together providing a welcoming, inclusive offer to all our children, underpinned with a commitment to quality first teaching.
As Headteacher, never a day goes by without me being grateful for the tremendous efforts of our staff and the outstanding relationships that exist with our pupils which spur on their hunger for learning and pride in their school.
Finally, we cannot do our jobs effectively without the support of our parents and carers. Together we can raise the aspirations of our children, aim higher and realise the world is their oyster, there to be explored and become successful in. So many of our past pupils have gone on to succeed, whether it has been gaining higher qualifications, graduating from university, accessing employment or entering apprentice training and then the workplace.
The pathway to this success begins here, in a child’s primary school. In Carr Hill we want the best for all our children. It’s part of our essential school DNA, and long term commitment to our children and their families.
Callum Kidd, Headteacher
