At Carr Hill we aim to provide our pupils with a warm, safe environment where children feel secure and valued as individuals. We believe that teaching and learning should be enjoyable, purposeful and challenging. Through our effective curriculum we aim to equip each child with the key skills they need for life. We aim to develop confident learners, who take ownership of their learning; are proud of their achievements and are well prepared for life in modern Britain. A dedicated and talented staff support the learning of all of our children and they create incredible relationships that aid the love of learning.

Important Dates - SAT's Tests
- Year 6 pupils take their Key Stage 2 SATs week commencing 13th May 2019;
- Years 3, 4 and 5 have their optional SATs week commencing 20th May 2019;
- Year 2 pupils have ongoing Key Stage One assessments throughout May 2019.
- Year 1 pupils will complete the Phonics Screening Check during the week commencing 10th June 2019
Gateshead Council, Northumbria Police and partners have worked together to develop a new Hate Crime strategy to tackle hate incidents in the borough. This was approved by the Community Safety Board in April 2016.
