Children across the entire school helped to celebrate NSPCC Number Day, on Friday 6th February, by wearing green or a number and donating £1 to this worthy cause.  We raised £166.10 in total – which is an amazing achievement and will go towards helping children in need.

The focus this year was oracy, and children took part in a series of ‘always, sometimes, never?’ investigations whereby they had to decide whether a statement was always, sometimes or never true and explain why this was the case.

Examples for our Nursery children included, ‘are triangles always red?’ to ‘multiplication number sentences are commutative’ in Year 3.  Everyone had a fantastic day and learnt so much by talking about all things Maths while raising money for the UK’s leading children’s charity.
