The school council have helped to organise our new outdoor reading shed. They listened carefully to what the children had asked for in order to improve their outdoor area.
The school council really want to help develop children’s love for reading and by installing a reading shed they hope to encourage children to read for pleasure during their outdoor breaks.
Their campaign to collected pre-loved books has been a great success with lots of families and staff donating books. These books have been added to our reading shed for others to enjoy.
The reading shed is open during break times and lunchtimes and children are welcome to take any books they are enjoying home.
