As part of our topic, Growing Things, our Year 3 children have been learning all about our local environment and the wildlife we have on our doorstep. Initially, we created sketch maps of our local area in Geography (with the help of Google Earth) to identify key features of our area. Then, we explored Windy Nook Nature Park and learnt about the wildlife and habitats, as well as microhabitats, we would find so close to us!
This is to prep for our upcoming visit to Windy Nook Nature Reserve.
