In Maths, Year 4 have been measuring! We have explored centimetres, meters and kilometres through a range of activities. We started by playing a game, where we had to measure distances in cm. We then took our learning outside, where we had to measure how far we could throw a quoit. We had to work in teams and problem solve how to measure the distance using only one meter stick. To finish off, we ran 1 kilometre around the yard, so that we understood how far a kilometre really is.
The children in Year 4 are now confident at converting between meters and kilometres!
