We have a school dress code which encourages the wearing of a ‘uniform’ by all of our children.
We are proud of our identity, which has contributed towards achieving a positive school ethos and high standards of behaviour.
Our basic school uniform consists of:
- Bordeaux coloured sweatshirt/cardigan (available from Logos Unlimited);
- White polo shirt;
- Black or grey trousers for boys (optional for girls);
- Black or grey skirt/pinafore dress for girls or a red checked gingham summer dress for the warmer months;
- Black shoes (no heels or trainers are allowed ).
Our PE Uniform:
- Black shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms
- Plain white t-shirt or white polo shirt
- A pair of trainers that are safe and suitable to wear for physical education lessons (no jewellery to be worn)

We are also aware of this group who do great work in the North East and can help: Community School Clothing Scheme
If you are struggling to meet the cost of school uniform – please let us know – we can look to see what additional support we can give you.
If your child is unable to wear the type of school shoes that we and all other schools recommend, for medical reasons, then you MUST provide proof of this in the form of a letter from your GP or Consultant. The letter must state the reason that your child is unable to wear the recommended school shoes and the expected duration of this need.
Please help us to take care of your child’s property by writing their name on the label of the clothing.
We strongly discourage children from having their ears pierced, or any other form of body piercing. If children have piercings, they must remove the earrings/jewellery before taking part in physical activity (this follows clear guidance we have from Gateshead’s Health and Safety Teams and from the School Swimming Support Teams).
