What a fantastic day our Year 3 children had last week at Washington Wetlands!

We did a Generation Wild visit to learn about Ava, part girl part osprey, and her journey of migration.

We were fortunate to take part in various activities to work towards becoming Guardians of the Wild.

In addition to this, we were able to explore the wetlands to see birds from all over the world from common crane, flamingos, black swans, as well as seeing a pair of Asian short clawed otters being fed.

Mr Harris also received an email at the end of the week from the staff at Washington Wetlands who described our children as being an “absolute delight” and stated that they are a credit to our school. As always, well done to our Carr Hill kids for representing our school brilliantly!
