Winter RUNderland is our Christmas themed, physical activity challenge, that all of the school can get involved in. A group of our Key Stage 2 children participated in the Sportshall Athletics Qualifier, organised by our Gateshead School Sports Partnership last week. They worked brilliantly as a team, showed immense resilience and were so supportive of each other. The focus for this event was determination, which our children showed throughout the events.
Last week the children in our Year 1B class took part in an athletics festival at Gateshead College Academy for Sport. We had a great time taking part in a range of activities including long jump, high jump, hurdles, throwing and sprinting. Each activity involved us learning a skill, playing a game and then competing.
