Yesterday, we enjoyed an amazing visit to Long Sands beach in Tynemouth. We started our adventure by travelling on the Metro to Cullercoats, which for many of our children was their first experience of travelling on the Metro.
The sun was shining and we enjoyed building sandcastles, playing cricket and football and having our picnic on the beach. The highlight for many of our children was the delicious ice creams we had in the afternoon.
The children and staff in Key Stage One had a fantastic day and as always the children’s behaviour was impeccable.
A special thank you to our Year Six helpers, the Metro staff who supported us on our journey and the many people who took the time to chat to our children on the Metro.
