Last week, our Year 4 children had the amazing opportunity to visit the George Stephenson Museum in Newcastle and what an amazing day we all had!
A group of our Key Stage 2 children participated in the Sportshall Athletics Qualifier, organised by our Gateshead School Sports Partnership last week. They worked brilliantly as a team, showed immense resilience and were so supportive of each other. The focus for this event was determination, which our children showed throughout the events.

What an honour it was for our school to be part of the Gateshead Schools Sports Partnership Inspire Torch Relay last week. Our KS2 children went to Cullercoats beach for their annual beach sports day and what a day we had. The sun was shining and the children loved getting involved in different sporting activities.
This year, our KS2 children have had the amazing opportunity to learn the sport of cricket through sessions lead by some fabulous coaches. In Science, our Year 3 and Year 4 children have been learning about rocks. Today, we enjoyed a visit to Saltwell Park. The purpose of our visit was to find different types of rock and discuss their purpose. We also had a mini scavenger hunt which tested our knowledge of rocks and volcanoes.
